14th Sunday in ordinary time

In-Person Mass Attendance Details (Updated June 27)

  • As we prepare to welcome parishioners back, the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues and will be evaluated at the end of August 2021.
  • Beginning July 1, 2021, preregistration for mass and contact tracing are no longer required
  • There is no capacity limit.
  • Hand sanitizing stations remain as we continue to follow health directives for good hand hygiene.
  • Parishioners may feel comfortable wearing masks but it is not mandatory.
  • If you have COVID symptoms like fever or cough or if you are sick, you should stay home and follow AHS directives.
  • Our side pews will be marked for social distancing and those who prefer to sit alone would be respected.
  • Holy Water Fonts will be made available.
  • The celebration of mass will look very similar to pre-pandemic time.
  • Altar Servers, Lectors, Music Ministers, Greeters/Ushers and Sacristans are welcome back.
  • The Sign of Peace: please continue to offer one another the sign of peace by a bow.  A return to a handshake will be evaluated by the end of August 2021.
  • The distribution of Holy Communion will continue to be under one species, the Body of Christ. The method of distribution will continue to be the same as it was in the previous months.
  • Music Ministry: All mass parts can be sung.  Congregational singing is allowed.
  • Please do not offer hand shake during the sign of peace as others may not be comfortable for a hand shake at this time.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

As a parish, we are very grateful to all the volunteers who worked during this pandemic time to keep us all safe and healthy. With their time and talent and energy, they were very generous to our parish. In appreciation, the parish will host a dinner to all the volunteers on 21st July 2021 evening 5pm. Just in case, you missed your invitation, kindly call the office.

Volunteers Needed

As we are opening the church, we are looking for more volunteers.
Volunteers are needed as Altar Servers, Lectors, Musicians and singers, Eucharisitic ministers, visitation ministry, maintenance people, usherers and for migrant services. Kindly meet Fr. Raja after mass and have a chat with him.

Family friendly Faith Exploration

2021 Year of the Family

To celebrate THE YEAR OF THE FAMILY, Providence Renewal Centre has assembled a variety of activities designed to:

• Inspire conversations
• Invite playful prayer
• Creatively ‘waste time’ with God
• Wonder as you wander
• Explore and discover, indoors and outdoors, alone, and together
The materials in the package are only suggestions. Use what appeals to you, courageously try others that appear outside your comfort zone and feel free to adapt any or all to your specific situation. Together, as we engage the world in which we “live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28), we are united in prayer.

Upside Down Sabbath

It has been said that Jesus’ message turns things upside down. In scripture we read, the first shall be last (Mt 20:16); the meek shall inherit the earth (Mt 5:5), valleys will be raised and hills made low (Lk 3:5; Is 40:4). This activity invites playful exploration of this concept.
• Start the day with a sit-down supper (consider slow-cooker meals that cooks overnight so Mom need not get up early)
• At lunch time, eat your fruit or dessert before your soup or sandwich
• For supper, have breakfast
• Wear an item of clothing inside out
• In the evening, share about the experience and perhaps (depending on ages) explore habits that could be “up-ended”

We have updated design of our website . Your feedbacks and suggestions are welcome.  We have also introduced new sections in our website to collect your Prayer Intentions and your Testimonials. Thank you.
