North West Norfolk News
by James Wild MP

It’s been refreshing to enjoy the warm weather out and about in North West Norfolk rather than being stuck in a stuffy House of Commons.  While Parliament is in recess, I will continue to deal with important casework as well as talking to businesses. This week I took the to opportunity to spend time with Dr Paul Richards to promote the re-opened True’s Yard.

People are enjoying our wonderful coastline, countryside, and attractions and it is important that everyone continues to follow social distancing guidance and respect local communities. Attractions like the Sea Life centre which I visited are welcoming people every day and hopefully that will continue over the summer.

But as the controls introduced last night in the North of England - following those in Leicester and increases in Europe infections rates - show it is essential to remain vigilant. These localised measures are in response to increased rates of transmission due to rules on households meeting up not being followed. So the message is clear: we need to follow the guidance and play our part in helping to keep the virus under control.

Let's enjoy Summer safely.

Please do get in touch if I can be of assistance.

Best wishes,
