North West Norfolk News
by James Wild MP

Last weekend’s warm weather has returned which is good news for our tourism and hospitality businesses as more people visit our beautiful county. However, as well as the usual tailbacks there has been very inconsiderate parking in Brancaster and along the coast causing disruption to local people and emergency services. The police have put in place measures to help tackle this and I expect them to be used again.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has been a welcome boost for pubs, restaurants, and cafes judging from my experience. Do take advantage of the 50% discount Monday-Wednesday for the rest of August.

Finally, this week new funding has been announced to help our local economy recover. I was pleased to see bids I championed were successful including more investment to support the Enterprise Zone in Lynn and a doubling of the LEP’s Resilience and Recovery scheme which has already paid out £250,000 to West Norfolk firm.

Enjoy the sun!

Please do get in touch if I can be of assistance.

Best wishes,
