THE LARGEST SURVEY IN THE UK REGARDING BREXIT SINCE THE REFERENDUM HAS TAKEN PLACE.
20000 people from around the UK have had their say.
The results were surprising (for some) and we would suggest- RESOUNDING.
Sunderland, one of the loudest voices of the LEAVE campaign, would still vote LEAVE, but this recent poll suggests only by a 51-49 % slight majority, v's 61-39 in the original vote!!
That's quite a swing, and to be candid- not the only swing the survey found.
Here at E Financial we try and maintain a neutral political stance, but looking at it rationally and logically, it does seem that a potential Brexit, is looking more complex and costly than we were originally led to believe before the vote.
Although it would be quite a change to the current direction the Government are heading in, WOULD IT BE TOO MUCH TO FINALISE THE DEAL WITH THE EU, AND THEN GIVE THE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO VOTE YET AGAIN?
AT LEAST THEN PEOPLE WOULD KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE VOTING FOR.
If you have an hour spare, we highly recommend watching this from last night.
Channel 4 have found the results that many of us were thinking.
Thinking ahead- HOW WILL A BREXIT DEAL EFFECT YOUR PORTFOLIO?
Are you a 'Buy and Hold' Investor who will ignore short term volatility?
After the original vote, within minutes the GBP had depreciated massively, and was quickly followed by the FTSE.
Will clarity within the situation deliver the inverse of the above moves?
Even if you are holding Investments Longer Term- are you considering purchasing more equities at the current under valued positions they reside in?
Is this climate what some term 'value investing'?
Are you contemplating picking up the actual Index (eg FTSE 100) rather than the individual stocks?
In an uncertain climate, we're confronted with as many questions as we are answers.
At E Financial we like to ensure we place the relevant content in front of the eyes of our readers.
Whether you are the type of investor who looks to build portfolios to take advantage of short term movements, or whether you are more inclined to adopt a "buy and hold" philosophy- feel free to contact our team for a variation of research reports on the type of Asset Managers who might be able to compliment your portfolio.
