There is always something to be grateful for and with Thanksgiving around the corner next week I thought this would be the perfect time to help shift our awareness to an attitude of gratitude. Gratitude helps us see what is there instead of what isn't, realizing that what we have is enough and more ~ it helps us fall in love with the life we already have. 

Gratitude is a choice. When we choose to practice being grateful we become happier. Being grateful also means being deeply in the present. When we choose to fully live in the present moment we notice the little things and constantly look for the good even in difficult situations. When we are constantly drudging up old "stuff" from the past 
or when we become so fixated on what our future holds, we can miss the vibrant beauty of life that is unfolding right in front of us. It's about having gratitude for your experiences instead of waiting for a positive experience to make you feel grateful. When we choose to live with a grateful heart a compounding effect takes place - when we are grateful we attract more things in our life to be grateful for. 

Gratitude is the best medicine as it helps to heal our mind, body and spirit. Choosing gratitude helps us connect with and stimulate our intuition so we can be more open, receptive and aware of opportunities and helpful people that can support us in achieving our goals. It shields us from negativity, rewires our brain, eliminates stress, improves sleep, boosts our self-esteem and energy levels, promotes optimism and blocks toxic emotions such as envy, resentment, regret and depression. In choosing gratitude we become more productive and creative, reduce the number of social comparisons we make, improve and deepen our relationships and our resiliency is strengthened.  

Gratitude is magic! Gratitude lets the universe know what you would like to bring more of into your life. Appreciate what you are grateful for and open your heart to even more blessings in your life.

Below you will find several tools and activities to help you practice and cultivate gratitude on a daily basis. 

Start Each Day With a Grateful Heart 

Here is a list of ideas to inspire you to create your own gratitude practice that you can incorporate into your everyday life:  

Start a gratitude journal: 
  • Write down three things you're thankful for in your life upon rising in the morning to create a positive, thankful mindset to start your day 
  • Before bed write down three things you are thankful for that happened that day (a front row parking spot, spending time with a loved one, an uplifting conversation with a stranger, finding $5 in your pocket etc.) 
Make a family or personal gratitude jar: 
  • Decorate any sized jar
  • Place the jar in a common area with slips of paper and pens
  • Write down what you are grateful for once a day
  • Read the notes when you are having a hard day 
Spend time with loved ones: 
  • Make intentional time where you are unplugged without TV or phones to deeply connect and enjoy each other's company
  • Drink in and appreciate these opportunities to grow closer and create new memories
  • Tell them how much you care 
  • Helps gives you a bigger and broader perspective on life
  • Boosts well-being
  • You help make an impact in a local community

I am excited to announce I am now beginning to sell crystals in my practice! I am starting with a small inventory that will build up over time with the goal to provide clients with recommended crystals they can work with for their own self-healing in between sessions. 

I am selling individual crystals and crystal sets that each include several crystals for a specific problem, a card with each included crystal's healing properties, a crystal layout to show you where to place the crystals on your body for that specific issue and a handout on how to cleanse your crystals. 

So far I have created crystal sets for anxiety, grounding, chakra balancing, self-love, mental clarity, stress relief and meditation with many more to come!
