Order the new Stan book by 8/20!  See the beautiful NEW Stan movie, then revisit rapids, figure out photos, and much more

Dear <<First Name>>,
Summer's been active for StanislausRiver.org. There are lots of new postings and a lot more coming online in the next month. Plus work on major redesign of the home page is moving ahead, as is development of the story side of the site. Read on!  (Photos: Rose Creek, Jim Tichenor and now FOR Ex. Dir. Jann Dorman, and a 1975 Sacramento demonstration for the river)

Still want the Stanislaus book? Final orders by 8/20!

If you WANT the 40 page 11"x13" Stanislaus book, here's how you can order. This will be the LAST order for a long time, so take advantage now!  Books will likely be delivered in November (backed up printers).

The NEW Stanislaus movie - and more videos you don't want to miss!

Taken from the Stanislaus book, there's now a beautiful 8 minute movie where you can watch all the photos in the book with musical accompaniment - it's a wonderful chance to relive going down the magical nine miles of the Stanislaus River.

And, you can't miss a 90 second video of an amazing run in 1980 at Lower Razorback Rapid - so much fun!

There are many more videos on the Stan website - check them out!

Remember these rapids? Re-connect with old friends (and maybe a nemesis or two...)

Cadillac Charlie - the hard pull left at Cadillac Charlie rapid? We've got a several really good images now.

Rock Garden rapid - we've had a hard time finding good images of this early rapid, but look what's here now!

Death Rock Rapid - most everyone was too busy running Death to photograph it, but we've gotten a pretty good set of images now (got any photos of Death or other rapids? Talk to us!).

And last, a great Marty Blake photo of Camp Nine put-in on a gorgeous summer day.

Be Sherlock Holmes and tell us where this IS?

This creek may be along the Stanislaus, but we can't confirm it. Do you know??  Tell us!  (here are more images of the same place, all taken by Don Briggs)

What's coming NEXT?

The biggest efforts right now are getting in Marty Blake's material and Ron Pickup's photos - AND developing a new home page for StanislausRiver.org, one that engages visitors in a more powerful way than the original page has done. We're hoping to have this done by the end of summer. You can help - if you want to give feedback on our ideas, send email and let us know!

That's it for now - have fun and safe summer adventures!
