EEP Africa at African Utility Week in May 2019

EEP Africa will be an active participant in the 19th African Utility Week (AUW) on 14-16 May in Cape Town, South Africa. We are proud that the EEP Africa Project of the Year, Vitalite from Zambia, will present their innovative PAYG experience at the conference. Many other EEP-supported project developers have been invited to speak at the technology hubs on the exhibition floor, and EEP Africa will hold a side event on the first day of the conference.

In addition to our contributions to the AUW programme, EEP Africa will contribute to the Nordic Energy Days that are being held in parallel to the main conference. The day before AUW2019, on 13 March, EEP Africa will hold its 5th Investor Forum with the aim of increasing investment in the clean energy sector. This invitation-only event is a unique match-making opportunity for investors from around the world to access a pre-screened pipeline of clean energy businesses from the EEP Africa portfolio.

EEP Africa has a new look!

EEP Africa introduced a new logo in January 2019 that aims to evoke the dynamism and innovation at the core of our mission. The new look reflects EEP Africa's focus on clean energy, climate action and Africa, as well as our emphasis on partnerships and connections.

This change completes the transition of EEP Africa to a multi-donor trust fund. The new chapter combines our proven model for delivering results with a dynamic evolution of the facility, bringing a strengthened focus on the SDGs and closer engagement with the downstream investor community. The
