Back in May, I told you not to quit.
Well, today, because I didn't quit, I received my first contest recognition. My latest novel, Stealing Poppies, is a finalist in the Chesapeake Romance Writers Contest - the Rudy.
I can't tell you how excited I was to achieve this next step in my writing career. You don't know, or maybe you can relate, how many times I check my email, waiting for good news. Will an agent ask for a full manuscript? Will a live person email a response, instead of the generic auto populated one? Will an email come notifying me of a contest result? Yes! Finally, one came.
I love this story about Max and Lola and hope to find an agent who will love it as much as I do.
