I’m on a roll! I’m beyond thrilled to share that my entry has won 1st place in the Romance/Women’s Fiction category in the 2021 Pacific Northwest Writers Association (PNWA) writing contest.
The title and name may confuse you, but yes, this is the same story that won 2nd prize last week at the Chesapeake Romance Writers Contest. I entered this contest a while ago and updated the title from Under the Stars of South Haven to Stealing Poppies.
I spent last weekend at the PNWA annual contest, taking online classes, having zoom lunch with my writing friends, and chatting about how great it would be if my friend Melee McGuire and I could pull off a 1 - 2 sweep. Well. We did it!
My story won 1st and Melee’s won 2nd place. Cheers to us!
What’s next? I'm still looking for an agent so I can get my books in your hands. But, for now, it's back to the keyboard.
Let’s keep writing together. 😊
Remember: Butt in the Seat!
