Join the Solidarity Budget Team for the launch of a proposed Seattle city budget that addresses community priorities across our different movements!
What’s the Solidarity Budget? We are a broad coalition working together to advocate for a City Budget that prioritizes collective care and liberation -- one that is anti-racist, centers the needs of the most marginalized & vulnerable Seattle residents and responds with funding commensurate to the crises we are facing.
Last year, more than 200 community groups supported the Solidarity Budget. By coming together, we won more than any of us could have alone -- from cutting SPD’s budget by 11%, to $30M for participatory budgeting, to expanding investments in affordable housing, community services, transit and more.
Please join us for the Solidarity Budget community kickoff! Happening virtually on September 25, 12-2PM -- RSVP here to receive the zoom webinar link: bit.ly/SolidarityBudget2022.
ASL interpretation and live captioning will be offered
Share The Cities Action Fund is especially focused on advocating for Digital Equity and Broadband priorities this budget season.
