This is a monthly newsletter for people who want news, events & action alerts about Upgrade King CountyAffordable Talaris, and Ballard-Interbay Industrial Lands.


Share The Cities' Working Groups

Upgrade King County next meeting is Thursday, August 26 at 7:30 pm. Register here Topic: Fall Planning Session. Join us if you'd like to learn about digital equity and municipal broadband. 

Affordable Talaris next meeting is Monday, August 23 at 7 pm. Register here. Topic: Seattle's Comprehensive Plan update 2022-2024. The top image is from a very successful community education event where we spoke to over 100 neighbors in Maple Leaf about why we need to end the apartment bans in Laurelhurst and why Affordable Talaris is a generational disaster, including the potential loss of 271 trees.

Ballard-Interbay Industrial Lands will be hosting an in person walking tour in September. Info TBD, likely Sept. 18 or 19.

Share The Cities Action Fund - lobbying & political advocacy 


We have two organizations that allow us to fund and support our work.
Ask your friends with funds to support us. Post on social media letting people know how we've helped you learn to advocate for better communities. Host a lunch & learn for your organization or community and invite us to speak. Host a virtual house party -- we can help! Email info@sharethecities.org

Please pay rent to the Duwamish, take action to defund SPD by at least 50%, and work with folks living outside in your community to make sure they are safe. Seattle Transit Riders Union Solidarity Fund supports mutual aid for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
