Seattle's Comprehensive Plan

Long range land use planning is one of our best tools to address the climate emergency. Throughout July and August we will be educating community about Seattle's comprehensive plan.

Share The Cities have joined with other organizations to ask for an extension through the 3rd week in August to give everyone more time to advocate for a better plan. Please take action using the button below, Seattle!

Shaping the Plan: Comment on the Environmental Review

The City is currently in the process of getting feedback on the draft topics and growth strategy alternatives that we are proposing to analyze. This process is called “scoping”. The purpose of this meeting will be to give an overview of the topics and draft growth strategy alternatives and answer your questions. This is a virtual meeting. To join, please use the below link:

We are hosting an online meeting on July 9 12 - 2 pm, to come up with our values for an "Alternative 6" plan.

Join us speaking to council on July 13 at 2 pm about CM Mosqueda Climate Resolution to be added to the comp plan analysis.We are hosting an online work party on July 20 at noon to help people engage in the OPCD hub around the values developed on July 9 for our "Alternative 6" plan.

If you don't live in Seattle your feedback on Seattle's comprehensive plan is welcome, too. We encourage you to follow the work of Councilmember Tammy Morales. We are part of her Seattle Within Reach Coalition.

Congrats to House Our Neighbors for building a beautiful housing justice movement towards Social Housing in Seattle. 

Join HON on Friday, July 8 from 6 pm - 9 pm at the AIDS Memorial Pathway (near Cal Anderson Park) to celebrate the next steps to ending our housing crisis. The event will include musical performances, Dj Jus Moni, food, speakers, vendors, art-making stations, and so much more!
