Product Hunt Launch!
Juniors in Tech on Product Hunt

One day in September, I was still in my bed after just barely waking up, and a random thought came into my head: why isn't there a newsletter for juniors in tech?

Actually, the thought wasn't so random. It came about after being frustrated with the term 'junior' and what it means in this industry. It seems like 1) employers don't want to hire us, even though they should, and 2) people newer to the industry don't want to call themselves 'junior', and/or want to become 'senior' as soon as possible (does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me?).

Like, why is being a junior in tech such a bad thing?

It's not. So I wanted to create something just for us. Something to help us find jobs, progress in our careers, and just be better at life. And something to help us celebrate our accomplishments. Just because we don't have a ton of experience, doesn't mean we can't do cool shit. That's why I've prioritized doing Q&As with people who are also juniors.

So, a few months after that random half-asleep thought, here we are at close to 950 subscribers.

You all are the real MVPs. Thank you so much for subscribing, and I hope each week you get something out of these emails.

I'd really appreciate it if you visited the Product Hunt page, where you can tell everyone in the PH community what you like (or don't like) about the newsletter.

Thank you so much!

New - Job Board
Yes, that's right, I finally made a half decent job board after procrastinating 3 months.

Head to jobs.juniorsintech.com, and you can scroll through some entry level remote tech jobs

This is a V1 of what I want the job board to eventually be, so you might find a job that doesn't belong (like a non-tech job, or a senior job), or some bugs. Just let me know if you see anything like that. It's also pretty limited right now, but I'll be adding more jobs soon.

If you would like to post a job for your company (with featured space on the job board and in the newsletter), you can fill out this form
