Announcements
KINDWAY EXPANDS!
Kindway is thrilled to announce we have begun preliminary programing at Pickaway Correctional Institution (PCI). This summer we will begin the process of selecting participants for PCI EMBARK Season #1. We thank the Lord for your continued prayers and support without which we would be unable to advance our mission of investing the lives of those impacted by incarceration.
Kindway's PCI Men's Transition Manager
Rev. 'Debo Onabanjo has joined the Kindway team as the Men's Transition Manager for PCI. 'Debo has assembled an advance volunteer team to establish EMBARK at PCI. 'Debo and his team is now facilitating Celebrate Recovery.
Kindway Reunions are Back
After a lengthy pause in bi-monthly reunions, Kindway Reunions will be scheduled for the remainder of 2021. Kindway reunions are events designed to give Kindway alumni, volunteers, staff, and those who love them a space where they may reunite with others in the Kindway family.

Meals and desserts are sponsored by local churches. We will be celebrating Kindway's 10 year anniversary and are grateful that St. Catharine Catholic Church will sponsor the meal.
The Joseph Group Reunion
Matt and Mark Palmer of The Joseph Group have sponsored 5 one day-long retreats at Marion Correctional Institution (MCI) and one for women at the Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW). The retreats were designed to introduce men and women to our graduates in prison who are awaiting their release. The day-long retreats included group activities, group discussions, testimonials, and a shared meal. We are happy to announce The Joseph Group MCI 5-year reunion that will take place at St. Catharine Catholic Church in Columbus this August.

We appreciate our partnership with The Joseph Group. The bus trip retreats have been a great vehicle through which we have recruited many passionate volunteers.

Kindway Board Member Updates
Kindway is also experiencing change in leadership. We thank the Lord for the service of Tom Fenstermaker who has served on the Kindway Board of Directors as treasurer for ten years. Thank you, Tom for your devotion and leadership.

Kindway welcomes Tony Garrison and Kristi Rodriguez to the board.
Tony Garrison is Sr. Vice President at Bath and Body Works International (BBWI). He learned about Kindway through Shirley France, a Kindway volunteer and former marketing executive for BBWI.
Kristi Rodriguez is Sr. Vice President of Nationwide Retirement Institute. Kristi serves on the Nationwide Foundation where she learned about Kindway and became passionate about our cause.

Thank you Tom.
Welcome, Tony and Kristi!
KINDWAY ACADEMY
Our most recent presentation for Kindway Academy is The Process of Trauma by Lisa Drogosz, PhD. Dr. Drogosz delivered an amazing presentation about how trauma impacts those in prisons. Her presentation was so well received that we will be working with her to offer additional training this summer.

Kindway's Stan Stever Shares His Journey at Rock City Church
What an amazing testimony! Kindway's Director of Community Outreach, Stan Stever, was invited to share his nearly 34 year journey through prison and beyond with Pastor Chad at Rock City Church in Hilliard for the Mother's Day Service on May 9, 2021. Through it, Rock City Church has partnered with Kindway and we are excited about the possibilities. If you missed the broadcast of the service, you may watch it here:

McAuliffe's Industrial Donates and Moves Furniture
McAuliffe's Industrial of Marysville donated and moved a few truck loads of furniture over two days for Kindway Alumni. Former president, Jim Fitzgerald donated furniture to Kindway, and current president Bill Harris contributed his time, vehicle and staff to work hard alongside Kindway alumni to get the job done with much joy and appreciation for the opportunity to serve.

We thank McAuliffe's staff as well as our alumni: Mervin, Terrence, Clarence, Lenny, Stan, Shane, Demetrius, and Juan for their service. Our network is amazing!
