Welcome Brady Porterfield-Finn,
Community Engagement Manager for the DSST: MTV Campus!
Hello MTV Families,
My name is Brady Porterfield-Finn and I am the new Community Engagement Manager for both Montview Middle School and High School. My role will focus on family engagement, community engagement, and advocacy. More specifically, I will be working to create unique partnerships and bring exciting opportunities to campus to enhance the overall experience for all of our students at MTV. I am thrilled to meet you and learn what your vision for strengthening our campus' impact in our communities looks like. I am passionate about building community and breaking down barriers to ensure every student receives the opportunity to pursue and achieve their dreams.
A little bit about my background; I grew up in California before spending 5 years studying Journalism and Psychology at the University of Missouri. After graduating from Missouri, I served in the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso (West Africa), and then spent time teaching in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Mexico. I have an appreciation for language and culture and am eager to get to know the backgrounds of our students and families. I live in Denver with my wife, Bentley, and our two cats, Boris and Bouda. When I am away from work, I enjoy playing basketball, hiking and listening to podcasts.
As I continue learning about MTV's students and our community, I will be relying on knowledge and insight from parents like yourself. If you have ideas for projects or partnerships, reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Act Now!: DPS Registration
Registration MUST be completed before school starts
Each year, families are required to complete and submit certain health/medication forms to ensure that your student is supported by our Nurse and Front Office Staff. If your child requires any daily medication, has asthma or any other medical condition that may require medication or our assistance, please bring these forms to your doctor and return them to us before the first day of school. We will schedule a separate time for medication to be submitted to our Nurse. Here are the forms:
Uniform Donation Give-Away:
Saturday, July 31
DSST: Montview MS (outdoors)
Over the years, families have been generous enough to donate worn uniforms for the school to use for students out of dress code or other reasons. We have accumulated more than we will need and would like to offer families a chance to take from our inventory before we donate them.
All of the uniforms have been washed.
Please call the Front Office at 303-524-6380, if you have any questions.

You're invited to Advisory Knight
Our Advisory program is the most important relationship a family will have each year at DSST: Montview Middle School. We are so excited to be able to offer students and parents/guardians an opportunity to meet your Advisor for the 2021-2022 school year!
We will share more details after our return from Network Closure, but we wanted to give you the dates and times for each grade level:
As we prepare for a full return to in-person learning, our Leadership Team has worked hard to create an updated Knight's Dress Code. Students are required to follow the Knight's Dress Code and we want to ensure that all families have access to this important information with enough time to be ready for the First Day of School.
