As many destinations reopen and many people restart travelling, the management of tourism and its sustainability become even greater priorities.
In particular, it becomes even more important to get the right data and technologies to manage the flow of visitors in an area, with the new social distancing rules integrating a destination’s management strategy.
Through HERIT-DATA, 13 partners from Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are developing innovative solutions to better manage the impact of tourism flows on cultural and natural heritage sites, through the use of technologies and big data.
