2020 GNCC Dues Reminder

The deadline for the GNCC dues is December 31, 2019. Your vote at the annual meeting depends on the club's number of members as of January 1.  Invites to the Gordon International and Ross Tarlton bonspiels are issued based on your membership number as of January 1 and, if you are insured through the GNCC, insurance coverage will end as of January 1.

We don't want your insurance coverage to lapse or for the club not to have representation at the annual meeting or international bonspiels.  If you have not already send your updated your roster to Julie Chanatry, please do so as soon as possible. Once we have an updated roster, we will have the updated membership number for the annual meeting and bonspiel invites and you can apply for insurance for 2020.

The GNCC no longer collects dues on behalf of USA Curling. GNCC clubs submit their USCA rosters and dues directly.
This past offseason, the Schenectady Curling Club (SCC) undertook a capital project to completely replace the club’s ice making system. (see the pictures)

Much of the old system was outdated (circa 1920 era compressors), heavily corroded, costly to start, operate & maintain and unreliable in terms of consistent curling ice.

With only two months of service under our belt, we are still learning the character of our new system but some key improvements are worth noting for clubs looking to upgrade their facilities. (keep reading)
