Meet our new
GNCC Board Member

Cathlene Uhl

Director - 5 Year and Under Events

Triangle Curling Club
Hello there.  My name is Cathy Uhl, and I am the newest GNCC board member and the new chairperson for the 5 and Under Bonspiels.

My curling story began like most—I saw it in the Olympics and thought it looked pretty easy!

From the GNCC Treasurer

Peter J Lyons
Good news!  The GNCC will not have a dues increase this year.  Dues for fiscal year 2021-22 will return to the pre-pandemic rates of $15 for adults, $10 for members belonging to another club, $10 for social members, $4 for juniors, and $1 for youth under 12.  Julie Chanatry will send out dues notices in November for 2022.  Like insurance, our dues are based on a calendar year regardless of when clubs actually curl.

GNCC survived the pandemic in sound financial state and is well positioned going forward according to our accounting firm.  Despite not collecting dues, other than the Club Registration fee, the GNCC did not have to touch any of our Contingency funds to pay normal operating expenses.

We look forward to getting back on the ice as clubs begin reopening!

The USCA, GNCC, and CurlTech are teaming up to host a
Junior Camp

September 17 - 19

Triangle Curling Club
We may be in the doldrums of summer but some of our clubs are able to beat the heat.  For example, Orlando (left) has summer leagues, Learn To Curls, and a bonspiel in August.  Woodstock (right) has ice in July because their arena is hosting hockey camps.

And it's exciting to see other clubs preparing to reopen in the fall - or the very late summer in the case of Petersham.  The GNCC calendar of events is growing longer every week.

No doubt, many of you already use Amazon.com for on-line purchases. But do you know about AmazonSmile?
Amazon Smile is a simple automatic way to support the GNCC’s Second Century Fund, every time you shop, at NO cost to you.  When you shop at smile.amazon.com you will find the same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as on Amazon.com, with the added bonus that the AmazonSmile Foundation* will donate a portion of the purchase price (0.5% of eligible purchases) to the GNCC.

You can use your existing Amazon.com account on AmazonSmile.  The Second Century Fund benefits junior curlers in the GNCC.  After all, juniors are the future of our sport.  Please consider using Amazon Smile and designating the GNCC as your charity.   Thank you in advance.
  • The Amazon Smile Foundations is a 501(c)3 private foundation created by Amazon to administer this program. The foundation donates those amounts to the charitable organizations selected by their customers. Amazon pays all expenses of the foundation; they are not deducted from the donation amounts generated by purchases on AmazonSmile.
To list your bonspiel on the GNCC Calendar send your info to events@gncc.org.
