New York City MEET-UP

From the website:
This installation features selections from Andy Warhol’s forty-year span of work in the art of photographic silkscreen printmaking. While many of the works were made in the 1970s and 1980s, their subject matter—iconic people, trends and issues—reflects Warhol’s decades-long process of mirroring popular American culture. Warhol transforms photographic imagery, from the rather mundane still lifes of fruits to portraits of comic characters and endangered species, through color, design, form and multiples. Due to the infinite possibilities of printmaking, Warhol’s portfolios contain a vast array of techniques, ranging from collage and drawing to the use of diamond dust and color variation.

Yellow Leg Studios- Alexandra Reilinger, Vassar '20

Yellow Leg Studios is run by Alexandra Reilinger, a Vassar '20 grad based in Boston, MA. Alexandra is a linocut printmaker and mixed media artist, who recently started her own small business to keep doing what she loves! Her work is inspired by folk tales, the natural world, and the simple coziness of the home.

Lightcert and Harry Styles and Seven Sisters
With a large community of fans anxiously anticipating Harry Styles’ tour to start on September 4th in Las Vegas, Nevada, 2 Bryn Mawr students, Bailey Hirota and Emma Currie, along with California State University of Long Beach’s Sarah Naji are revolutionizing the fan experience.

The trio is going above and beyond than most by creating an individualized experience for each stop of the whole North American leg of the tour.

The app creates individualized light displays for various songs that are rumored to be on the setlist. Being fans of Harry since One Direction, the team was inspired by various fan projects they have seen and participated in.

In order to make their project stand out from the rest, they took it one step further and utilized their other skill sets and passions to create a one-of-a-kind platform for fans to use. Based in LA, the trio has combined their individual experiences from prestigious companies such as NASA and Public Citizen to merge tech and art - all while bringing an already close community closer.

This experiential app is available in the Apple App store for iOS users to download. Once the app has been downloaded, fans can select the date of their show, input their seat section, and select the song they wish to participate in during the set. For those fans that do not have an Apple device, they can still participate by observing the stadium plans and layouts posted on the organization’s website and social media pages.

As more global tour dates begin to become solidified, the Lightcert team is excited to grow and develop more unique experiences for Harry fans all over the world. Outside of participating through downloading the app and joining their fan-curated Discord server, there are specific location accounts for the project which you can search and follow! You can also participate in the project and observe the company’s website, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok

Too Much Man

About the Book from the Author:
Piper Welborn has created a warm, welcoming space for all in her queer-inclusive coffee shop, even if the long hours came at the cost of her love life. But she’s not ready to welcome one man in particular—a grumpy, muscular former hockey player. His smoldering presence is a temptation and a challenge to her long-standing vow not to date cis men.
Gavin Williams has no business starting a relationship, least of all with a woman he’s not sure even likes him. He can’t resist the Friendly Bean’s hot, pink-haired owner, but a casual fling is all he can commit to. He’s hoping to leave town for the next stage in his career…if he ever gets the call with the job offer.

A friends-with-benefits arrangement is perfect for them both—but neither is ready for the feelings that hit. When the post-hockey life Gavin always dreamed of is suddenly within his grasp, they’ll both have to make a choice: hold tight to what they thought life should look like, or work together to build something new.
