Simultaneous eastbound, westbound closures on
I-10 scheduled for Sunday, Monday nights

EL PASO, Texas — Eastbound and westbound motorists on I-10 and motorists heading to Ciudad Juárez should expect overnight detours on Sunday and Monday as crews work on overhead bridges and paint newly placed concrete to match the rest of the Spaghetti Bowl interchange.
Sunday, August 2, and Monday, August 3
Nightly 9pm to 5am
  • Eastbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at Loop 478 (Copia Street).
  • DETOUR: Take Exit 22A (Copia Street), continue on Gateway Boulevard East and re-enter I-10 at Raynolds Street.
  • JUÁREZ DETOUR: Continue on Gateway East, turn right on Paisano and follow the marked US 62 detour.
  • Westbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at US 54.
  • DETOUR: Take Exit 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Juárez/Fort Bliss), use the newly widened turnaround at Pershind Drive, enter southbound US 54 and follow signs to Westbound I-10 or Juárez.
  • Ramp C, which connects northbound US 54 to westbound I-10, will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Continue on northbound US 54, use the newly widened turnaround at Pershing Drive, enter southbound US 54 and follow signs to westbound I-10 or Juárez.
Crews will be placing an overhead bridge deck and painting.
Tuesday, August 4, from 9pm to 9am
  • Southbound US 54 will be closed to all traffic between I-10 and US 62 (Paisano Drive).
  • DETOUR: Take Exit 21A (I-10 East/Van Horn) to Exit 23B (US 62/180/Chelsea Street/Paisano Drive), turn right on Paisano and follow the marked US 62 detour.
  • Ramp E which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Yandell Drive will be closed.
  • DETOUR: Enter southbound US 54 at Pershing Drive.
Crews will be working on an overhead bridge deck.
 
Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 7
Daily from 9am to 4pm
  • The offramp connecting westbound I-10 to Gateway Boulevard West at Loop 478 (Copia Street) will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Take Exit 21 (Piedras Street) to Gateway West.
Crews will be conducting electrical work.
The Following Long-term Closures
Will Continue Without Interruption:
  • Ramps F and G, which connect I-10 to Juárez at the Spaghetti Bowl, remain detoured through northbound US 54 to Pershing Drive until further notice.
  • Interstate 110, the short freeway spur leading to and from the Bridge of the Americas, remains closed to northbound traffic until further notice.
  • The ramp from southbound US 54 to US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
  • Both turnarounds under US 54 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
  • Intermittent closures on Durazno Avenue, Rosa Avenue and Uva Street.
  • Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) at US 54 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound US 62 (Paisano Drive) between I-110 and US 54 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Ramp D, which connects southbound US 54 to eastbound I-10 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Ramp H, which connects eastbound I-10 to northbound US 54, until further notice.
  • Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard East between Piedras Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
  • Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard West between Boone Street and Palm Street.
  • Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard North between Trowbridge Drive and Altura Avenue.
  • Intermittent lane closures on US 62/180 (Paisano Drive) at I-10.
  • Intermittent lane closures on US 54 between Loop 375 and Spur 601.
Onramp and offramp closures may begin up to one hour earlier than stated times. All information is subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.

About the I-10 Connect Project

The I-10 Connect project is at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 54 in El Paso County. The project extends from I-10 to Loop 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway) and provides access to the Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) via I-110. The $96 million project includes the construction of four new direct connectors, a full reconstruction of the I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive) interchange, and removes exit ramps from US 62 to I-110.

I-10 Connect will improve connectivity between I-10 and Loop 375, also providing an alternate route to I-10. It started February 19, 2019, and is expected to be complete in less than three years.

EL PASO, Texas — Los automovilistas que viajan por I-10 Este y Oeste y hacia Ciudad Juárez pueden contar con desviaciones por las noches  de este domingo y el lunes mientras cuadrillas trabajan en los puentes superiores y los pintan de acuerdo al diseño del Spaghetti Bowl.
Domingo 2 y lunes 3 de agosto
Cada noche de 9pm a 5am
  • Cierran I-10 sobre Circuito 478 (Calle Copia).
  • DESVIACIÓN: Tomar Salida 22A (Calle Copia), continuar en Gateway Boulevard Este y volver a integrarse a I-10 sobre Calle Raynolds.
  • DESVIACIÓN A CD. JUÁREZ: Continuar en Gateway Boulevard Este, doblar a la derecha en Paisano y seguir señalamientos para US 62.
  • Cierran I-10 Oeste sobre US 54.
  • DESVIACIÓN: Tomar Salida 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Juárez/Fort Bliss), tomar el nuevamente renovado retorno en Pershing Drive hacia US 54 Sur y seguir señalamientos para I-10 Oeste o Cd. Juárez.
  • Cierran la Rampa C, que conecta US 54 Norte con I-10 Oeste.
  • DESVIACIÓN: Continuar en US 54 Norte, tomar el nuevamente renovado retorno en Pershing Drive hacia US 54 Sur y seguir señalamientos para I-10 Oeste o Cd. Juárez. 
Cuadrillas ponen una losa superior y pintan.
Martes 4 de agosto
De 9pm a 9am
  • Cierran US 54 Sur entre I-10 y US 62 (Paisano Drive).
  • DESVIACIÓN: Tomar Salida 21A (I-10 East/Van Horn) hacia la Salida 23B (US 62/180/Calle Chelsea/Paisano Drive), doblar a la derecha en Paisano y seguir la desviación para US 62.
  • Cierran la Rampa E que conecta Gateway Boulevard Sur con US 54 Sur sobre Yandell Drive.
  • DESVIACIÓN: Tomar US 54 Sur sobre Pershing Drive.
Cuadrillas trabajan en una losa superior para un puente.
Lunes 3 hasta viernes 7 de agosto
Diario de 9am a 4pm
  • Cierran la rampa que conecta I-10 Oeste con Gateway Boulevard Oeste sobre Circuito 478 (Calle Copia)
  • DESVIACIÓN: Tomar Salida 21 (Calle Piedras) hasta Gateway Boulevard Oeste.
Cuadrillas realizan trabajos eléctricos.
LOS SIGUIENTES IMPACTOS AL TRÁFICO SIGUEN SIN INTERRUPCIÓN:
  • Las Rampas F y G que conectan I-10 a Cd. Juárez sobre Spaghetti Bowl permanecen desviados por US 54 Norte hacia Pershing Drive hasta nuevo aviso

SOBRE I-10 CONNECT
El Proyecto "I-10 Connect" se encuentra en la intersección de la autopista interestatal I-10 y la carretera US 54 en el Condado de El Paso. El proyecto se extiende del I-10 al Circuito 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway). El proyecto da acceso al Puente Internacional de las Américas (BOTA por sus siglas en inglés) vía la autopista interestatal I-110.
