Sunday, March 21, 2021 - Between & After Services
Please come help us wish the Gowen family the best as they enter a new season of their lives, and thank Amanda for her faithful service to our church, community, and especially our youth! There will be baskets for love offering & cards.
FUMC Family,
It is with a saddened heart that I must relay my season serving as your youth leader has come to an end. Through many meaningful conversations with my husband over the last few months, we realize there are only so many days left that we have to raise our own children. We want to make sure they get every one of our spare moments, as we are fully aware they will soon grow into their own individual seasons and no longer need our guidance, protection and “in-home” care.
I want to thank you for the opportunities I have been given to serve among you and your children. I’ll never be able to express my gratitude for the loving arms you welcomed my family and I with, the encouragement you provided as I navigated youth ministry in our current world, the trials and joys we celebrated together for the Kingdom and the example you set for me as a leader. I’ve seen tremendous life change!! God has and is working in miraculous ways through our youth, and I’ve explored new ways to do ministry in the middle of a pandemic with an incredible team by my side. It has been my pleasure to be a part of First United Methodist Church for the last three years, and I wish you nothing but hope, love and joy in your upcoming seasons. I will keep you in my heart and prayers going forward.
Blessings,
Amanda
