The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published its final report on the pre-pandemic UK jobs market this week.

Somewhat ironically, the data finds that overall employment levels broke previous records and hit a new all-time high in the weeks before the coronavirus took hold.

Future reports are likely to reveal the extent of the impact of lockdowns on the UK jobs market - and what that means for recruiters. However, the ONS has also warned this week that future reporting may be limited as its processes continue to be affected by the lockdown.
