Online Meetup 5: How to leverage social media as an early career professional
At the 5th Online Meetup, we were joined by Muriah Umoquit, Cochrane’s Communications and Analytics Officer, to discuss ways early career professionals can leverage social media. Muriah’s recommendations included ensuring that you maintain an up to date LinkedIn profile, using Twitter and Instagram to highlight events and activities your participating in, and keeping a database of hashtags that others in your field are using. Resources available to support people’s use of social media include Cochrane’s Community brand resources, Canva for creating infographics, and podcasts by experts from the Association for Healthcare Social Media. The recording can be accessed using the following link.
News from our Members
Chun Hoong Wong, Registered Pharmacist at Sultanah Amina Hospital, Malaysia
Walnut intake is considered a healthy dietary approach. In a recent systematic review, published in Complementary Therapies in Medicine, Chun Hoong Wong and colleagues examined the impact of walnut intake on circulation levels of leptin and adiponectin. The study provided evidence that Walnut intake may increase leptin and adiponectin levels but does not improve glycemic biomarkers.
