Welcome back to Coaches Ed. for 2021!!

We're so glad to have you all on board for another module of learning! Coaches Ed. will look a little different to the last few months as we begin to shift away from the practical side of coaching for a while and lean more towards looking at the theory of fitness. (Perfectly fitting given the current state of affairs!)

In 2021 we will be more focused on how some basic principles of fitness apply to the style of training we are familiar with at Sleven. 

The content for 2021 will be as follows:
  • 10 weeks: Movement, the basics of exercise physiology, strength training principles and energy systems. 
  • 4 weeks: Nutrition Basics
  • 4 weeks: Motivation and Communication - how to get  the most out of clients and members.
This will take us right into the summer, and by then we will have a broadly based knowledge of coaching, programming, nutrition and mindset.

We are really keen to be learning alongside you and can't wait to sink our teeth into the content!
Have a look below for the breakdown of the next 10 weeks:
You will continue to receive the content for each week via Google Slides. The slides contain a range of videos, documents, audio files and podcasts for you to listen to and watch centred around the topics mentioned above. 

We will have a 1 hour catch-up via Zoom every fortnight on a Saturday at 11am. See below for the schedule of dates and topics. If you are unable to make any of these, just let me know.  

At the end of each presentation there are 3-5 discussion questions highlighted in an orange box that will form the basis of our Zoom catch-ups. So come prepared with some thoughts, ideas and opinions  centred around these questions that we can discuss with each other in our meetings. 
I'll be sending the content for the following fortnight after our Zoom chat for you to access whenever your schedule allows.
