Welcome Fall!

Cochrane Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) provides preventative social programs to promote, encourage and facilitate the development of a strong community through citizen involvement..

Changes to Provincial Funding

We know you may have heard some news about recent changes with our funding through the Government of Alberta and we wanted to take this opportunity to clarify what these changes mean for you, your children and our programs and services.

We have received notification from the province that the grants for the Resource Centre, Parent Link Centre and Home Visitation Program will end on Mar 31, 2020, and will not be renewed.

However, we will have an opportunity to reapply for funding through the Government of Alberta's new Family & Community Resiliency Division which aims to offer a consistent province-wide approach to prevention and early intervention through the new Well-Being & Resiliency Framework.

Over the next few weeks, and leading up to the application deadline in January, we will be focused on strategic planning to ensure our application (and the programs and services we offer) properly aligns under the new framework.

Our current programs and services will continue to operate until March 2020.
