As the year comes to a close, I cannot help but to reflect back on the challenges we have faced as a global community that have tested the fabric of who we are as individuals and as a society. Across the state, we persevered, and continue to play an integral role in caring for the Behavioral Health needs of Delawareans. I am humbled by this Community’s tenacity and ability to adapt, especially during these most unprecedented times. Every day, each one of you shows up, bringing a new skill or ability that makes it possible for our team to deliver quality care. For that, I am grateful.

In this season of giving, I am excited to share that our investment in the Delaware Treatment & Referral Network (DTRN) continues to advance our efforts to place those in need, in treatment. More than 60,000 referrals have come through the program, with over 60 organizations continuously using the tool to assist clients into service. The “close the loop” feature adds a special touch, ensuring that clients get a warm handoff and are making it into care. With your help, we are growing this program by including additional wrap-around services that fill gaps in social determinants of health – like housing and transportation.

Despite the challenges 2020 has presented, there is a lot to be grateful for. I am deeply moved by all that you have done and continue to do for our community and our State. Best wishes from DSAMH for a healthy and joyous holiday season!

Account Clean Up

Now that 2020 is coming to a close, we would like to remind our DTRN service administrators to take some time to clean up their list of providers in OpenBeds to make sure that they are up to date.  To view the provider lists for your account, click on your 'Profile Name' and select 'Manage Users' from the drop-down list.

Listing Telehealth as an Additional Service in OpenBeds

If you provide telehealth services within your practice, you can now add it as an additional service within OpenBeds. Receiving service administrators can add this additional service by going to 'Service Administration'. In 'Service Administration', click on one of your listed services. On the 'Manage Receiving Service Details' screen, administrators will be able to click on the 'Additional Services' box and select 'Telehealth' in the drop-down list.
