2020 has been an unprecedented year in the Behavioral Health Field. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on our ability to deliver services to those seeking treatment and provide care to our vulnerable and disenfranchised communities statewide. As we have navigated through these difficult times, we’ve been supported by our dedicated team of clinical, medical, case management, and housing support staff. Together, we have fostered a supportive culture of respect, compassion and empathy for our clients. Aquila of Delaware has partnered with Peace by Piece, RI International, and DSAMH to remove barriers and provide opportunities for those seeking treatment, sobriety, and recovery through our integrated housing program and outpatient clinics. These partnerships, along with client participation, have allowed us to effectively target each client’s specific needs and develop a plan of action to address them. We have found the DTRN platform to be a tremendous asset for us to streamline the referral process as the tool facilitates seamless communication between providers to determine the appropriate level of care for each client. We look forward to continuous progress toward reducing use, overdose and institutionalization; while creating more paths to recovery.
