What we're reading:
With recommendations from both Ellie Quinn and Abdiya Iman, Adeem Younis' new book 'Small Change Big Difference'* has propelled itself up our "to-read" list. Adeem is the dynamic CEO of Penny Appeal and first came to our attention a couple of years ago when he appointed a mini-CEO, affectionately known in the press as the "kid-boss".  Can't wait to get to grips with the journey behind the dream.

What we're watching:
We really benefited from and will be adopting @layaliblog's deceptively simple yet effective advice in 3 Lists You Should Have In Your Phone. Do check out her '7 Healthy Habits of the Prophet' post too.

What we're listening to:
We had the pleasure of tuning into one of Wardah Books' 'Islamic Civilisations Book Club' sessions this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The book club is open to everyone. It's not intended to be a class, it’s a purposeful conversation amongst readers who are all reading the same book. The current book up for discussion is Johan Elverskog's 'Buddhism and Islam on the Silk Road'.*

What we're loving:
For those of you based in London (UK), or looking for the perfect time to visit, you'll be excited about this Sunday's Silk Road Bazaar to be held at Canopy Market in King's Cross. Our friends from Pink Tea Cafe will be there along with a host of other artisans offering an incredible selection of rare, original and unique wares from countries along the ancient, continent-crossing trading route. Soraya Syed, calligrapher extraordinaire and film-maker, will be there too. P.S. She has the coolest website in the world.

Jeem Juxtapositions:
Thank you all for continuing to frequent our Jeem Essentials* reading list. The list is a curated selection of reads that have featured in this newsletter, been mentioned in one of our Instagram Stories or have simply tickled our fancy. One thing's for sure: they resonate with our desire to inspire peace, purpose and productivity.

Quote we're pondering over:
Experience is the teacher of all things Imam Zaid Shakir

All best wishes and duas,

Tauseef & Sarah
