Hi <<First Name>>

Welcome to this week's 5-Minute Friday where we share highlights from our week - a curated selection from things we've read, watched, pondered over, eaten, loved or picked up that inspire peace, purpose and productivity.

These “5-Minute Friday” emails will only be available to you as subscribers. They will not be on the blog or anywhere else.

We treasure your experiences with the Jeem Journal. Leave a smile on our faces by leaving a review here.

30 Days of Goodness Ramadan Challenge:
We're on the home straight now and we're all aiming to optimise the final ten days. Just when we think that our energy levels are reaching depletion point, Allah gives us that final burst of strength to make it to the finish line. We'd love to know what you thought of the #Jeem30Days challenge either by replying to this newsletter or leaving a comment for us on our social media channels (Instagram | Facebook | LinkedIn).
What we're reading:
It's no secret that we're big fans of the Amazon chart-topping book Secrets of Divine Love by A Helwa. It has a beautifully poetic and inclusive approach to Islamic spirituality that acts like a balm to the soul. It's now available in Audible audiobook format.*

What we're watching:
If you've not had the chance to check out what Open Iftar (by the Ramadan Tent Project) has been up to this year, check out their YouTube playlist from Ramadan. We really loved the conversation with well-known political activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, as well as the chat with Shamil Thakrar, "Head Babu" of Dishoom restaurants.

What we're listening to:
Austrailia's Guardian reporter Mostafa Rachwani takes an in-depth look into the popularity of Middle Eastern dramas developed with the Ramadan period in mind. Whilst not primarily focussed on the more spiritually orientated aspects of the month, he discusses the connection these programmes provide between him and his migrant parents stating, "The more I understand my parents, the more I understand myself."

What we're loving:
It's a new day and there's a new personality test available for your delectation. This one over at PrinciplesYou is actually one of the more useful ones we've taken. It helps that it has the stellar academic presence of Ray Dalio and Adam Grant behind it. It takes 20 minutes but is time well invested, especially if you enrol family and friends and use the comparison tool!

Jeem Juxtapositions:
We're super excited to announce a huge collaborative Ultimate UK Eid Giveaway from some of your favourite Muslim-owned, UK-based brands and personalities to make your lockdown Eid extra special. It goes live at 6pm (BST) tonight!
Quote we're pondering over:
We gave wisdom to Luqman, and said, “Be grateful to Allah... - Holy Qur'an (31:12)

All best wishes and duas,

Tauseef & Sarah
