Hello Church Family,
We’ve had a busy couple of months but thanks to you, a lot of ministry has taken place. We gave 200 turkey dinners to Brookstone School teachers, faculty, staff, parents and 16 additional families in need! We collected 500 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child that will be given to children all over the world along with a presentation of the Gospel, so they can receive Christ as their Savior.
Our combined service this past Sunday was such a blessing. It was great to have everyone worship together, observe the Lord’s Supper, and witness two families dedicate their precious children. The food and fellowship we enjoyed at our Thanksgiving Together afterward was amazing! We are grateful to everyone who served to make each of these ministry events a huge success.
As we reflect on Thanksgiving and look forward to Christmas, we have so much to be thankful for. Last Sunday, I referred to something Max Lucado said in my message, “Having an Attitude of Gratitude,” that really makes you think about how grateful you really are. He wrote, “What would you do if you woke up tomorrow morning and all you had is what you thanked God for yesterday?” As Warren Wiersbe said, “Every child of God should cultivate an attitude of gratitude. It not only opens the heart to further blessings but glorifies and pleases the Father.”
Here are some updates to share with you:
Make plans to attend one of our Candlelight Christmas eve services on Friday 12/23 at 6pm or Saturday 12/24 at 2pm (the services will be identical). We have created cards for you to use to invite friends and family; pick some up this Sunday.
We are thankful for the interim pastor candidates God has brought to us as we have prayed and sought His direction. We look forward to having someone confirmed in early 2023.
December Christmas series speakers: Dec 4 – Pastor Darrick; Dec 11 – Dr. Jon Akin; Dec 18 – Dr. Don Wilton; Dec 23 & 24 – Pastor Scott.
We’re delighted to have purchased a 2018 Ford 15-passenger van with only 35k miles. Soon we’ll have our logo decals on it. So grateful the Lord provided this for us (see pictures below).
For His Glory,
