Special Business Meeting

A Special Business Meeting has been called for Sunday, Nov 13th, following the 10:30 service, to vote on the purchase of needed equipment.

In the past month, both of our projectors in the worship center had major issues causing them to fail. They are both at the end of their life span and not repairable. Subsequently, we have been renting projectors for the past month at a pretty high cost.

Because of our relationship with a large technology vendor, we were able to secure two, state of the art, laser projectors. These projectors have an average lifespan of 10-12 years.

These new projectors are brighter, crisper and will be our first 4K projectors making this a major technology upgrade for First Baptist Charlotte. We are hoping to replace these ASAP to release us from renting the necessary equipment.

Operation Christmas Child

For our partnership with Operation Christmas Child this year, along with collecting gifts, we are also hosting a packing party! We will meet on November 6th, immediately following the 10:30am worship service. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Childcare will also be provided for children under 2 years old. Employment Opportunity

We are currently hiring for a Director of Local Outreach and Missions. This position is responsible for taking the gospel to the ends of the earth by overseeing and executing the mission strategy of the church on a community, domestic, and global scale.

This will be accomplished through the development and implementation of outreach strategies (including evangelism and discipleship) within the local community. Role will also require development of partnerships with local non-profit agencies, and serve as the staff liaison to the Mission’s Committee.

Thanksgiving Together

We will have a very special combined worship service at 10:30. We will be observing the Lord’s Supper, witness parent/child dedication and a thanksgiving message. After the service, we will then enjoy a traditional thanksgiving meal together in the Fellowship Hall. Although groups won’t meet, we will have classes for pre-school through 3rd grade.
