Home Repair for Those in Need..
Our Mission Committee member Michael Medlin will be overseeing a critical ministry to our church. The focus of the ministry is "Home Repairs During Crises."
This ministry will include: (1) helping seniors/others in need of basic home repairs, including bathroom safety, handicap ramp construction, and improving the "quality of life"; and (2) helping other organizations with construction needs, such as Baptist Aging Ministry (referrals) and Baptist Childrens' Homes.
The quality of life aspect involves helping the elderly or widowed with home projects such as cutting grass, gutter cleaning etc.
This ministry has operated for several years within FBC but, hopes to expand it's outreach and impact within our fellowship and 301 within the next year. The need for new and younger volunteers is essential if this ministry will reach it's highest level of fruitfulness. If helping those in times of crisis is a desire the Lord has placed on your heart, please consider joining the team to help repair homes and lives for the Lord.
For more information about this ministry, contact Michael Medlin 704-942-5214 or email mmedlin3@carolina.rr.com.
For more information regarding our Mission Partners and serve opportunities, email Joey Davidson.
