Ministry Partner Update

 Connecting Within Our 301...

The FBC Leadership had an incredible time visiting with the Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center at their new facility located at 1508 E 4th St, Charlotte, NC 28204. The building renovations conducted on the former business office space gave the PRC a unique and powerful setting to conduct the frontline work of serving abortion determined woman. With the capacity of their new facility, they are increasing their outreach to the woman of Charlotte and even their partners through a men’s outreach they conduct in a downstairs game room.

A tour was conducted of the facility to learn the entire process a woman goes through as the hope of Christ is demonstrated and they utilize the latest technology to show a woman the life that lives inside her. The Hope room is a unique place where the woman can receive items that will help them once their child is born. They have discovered through research that the decision for a woman to abort her child can often be determined by $250 of items. Meaning when they talk through the decision with a client, the barriers they see in pregnancy (not having enough money to pay rent because they have to buy diapers and food and clothes). By providing the clients with the items they see as creating this burden the weight of the pressure is lifted and they are more open to receive the idea of carrying their child to full term.

It is an honor for the Queen City PRC to be our ministry partner. Our monthly funding to them is an essential part of their ability to continue their mission one mile away from the main Planned Parenthood Facility in Uptown Charlotte. They are on the front line of a great spiritual war. This month the PRC will begin their fundraising season and we have supplied the large round tables they needed to conduct their events. This was a small but greatly appreciated act.  We also found a unique way to help their facility. Due to the high demand for repair work in our city, they could not find an electrical contractor to fix a broken light in their basement. Our Maintenance Supervisor, James Boone was able to help with a solution and will be repairing the light for them. Praise God for James and his heart to go above and beyond as we serve our 301!
