August Prayer Letter

This month Olivia and I will celebrate our first year of marriage! We were married on the 15th of August and just one week later were at our first meeting together to present the ministry in Nigeria. We recently attended a marriage retreat with our team and were reminded of how important and wonderful marriage really is. This year has been the best year of our lives. We love serving our King together and look forward to the day when we arrive in Nigeria. God has shown Himself strong in our lives and has been better to us than we could ever deserve.

As we desire to raise our support to get to Nigeria as quickly as possible, we also do not want to neglect the ministry opportunities we have been given to reach our community with the Gospel right now. Olivia was able to start discipleship with a neighbor recently.  They meet once a week to study the  Bible together and it is amazing to see how God’s Word changes people’s lives. Not long ago, a group of teens traveled to our home church for “The World’s Cheapest Missions Trip” held by Robert Canfield, the director of the Training Center. Robert was kind to allow us to get involved and spend time with many of the teenagers who attended as we looked at the need to get the Gospel to the people around us. I was also able to preach for a few minutes and challenge them to give their whole lives to God, holding nothing back. He is worthy of our all.

Thank you for loving The Lord and being busy about the Father’s business. We must reach the world with the Gospel and take the commission He gave us seriously.
