No Substitute for good movements

Well here we are , the May bank holiday this weekend, to coincide with the 75th anniversary of V.E Day. All the street parties and garden parties have been cancelled and it has been suggested we have virtual garden parties instead and sing with Vera Lynn "we'll meet again" from our front doors  after the Queens address at 9 pm  as a substitute.

I'm sure like me, you will all have to use various substitutions over the past few weeks.

We have been using computers to help us substitute many things from ordering  shopping, seeing friends and even virtual Pilates classes . We in turn have been substituting equipment in our classes.

The foam roller is a favourite with many of you, so .....

Using a bath towel folded(in 4) as above. Lie with towel between shoulders, head on pillow, and bottom on floor. Knees bent in relaxation position.

Try the following exercises

Breathing, be aware of breathe, relax through chest, shoulders, neck and pelvis.
Shoulder drops, 
windmill arms, 
crucifix arms
leg slides 
opposite arm and leg slides.
neck rolls.

These will help to keep chest open and release across collar bones and shoulders.


After all there is NO SUBSTITUTE for good movements.
