The 53rd ERA conference was held from 29 Sept. to 2 October 2022 in the Konventum – conference centre in Helsingør, Denmark. 63 delegates from 24 countries attended the well prepared event. The LQT-BE products (developed in cooperation with Deutscher Wanderverband Sevice GmbH - DWS) were increased by adding the LQT-BE Day Walk and LQT-BE Region, both powered by ERA. Those two new pilot projects have come to an end this year and the first awards, from all the hard work, were handed over.

The LQT-BE Region Éislek (LUX) was certified in June 2022 and two months later awarded in its organisation by the DWS (during the fair “Caravan Salon” in Düsseldorf). ERA will award the certificate to the Region Éislek in the coming period.

The LQT-BE Day Walk’s pilot project created two new certificates for Guttland.Trails: Siwe Brécke-Wee and Fuussepad. Both of them were awarded at the ERA conference in Helsingør.

As of 11 October 2022 European Ramblers’ Association (ERA) has been granted participatory status with the Council of Europe. The Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) of the Council of Europe is the representative body of the INGOs enjoying participatory status with the Council of Europe. It serves as a platform where civil society can interact with the Council of Europe in the attainment of its goals. It also promotes participatory democracy, active citizenship and freedom of association.Information on events and news from the Conference of INGOs is published regularly on the website. The next Session of the Conference of INGOs will be held from 24 to 26 April 2023.

“Mon GR® préféré” is a general public competition with the principle to elect walkers’ favourite GR® from eight pre-selected GR®s in France. The voting for the favourite GR® is also open to non-French citizens and is available for three weeks. The voting has just started. The regular ERA autumn webinar will be held on 25 November 2022. The topic is “Projects”. ERA member organisations are welcome to join us from 15:00 hrs. The main discussion will be about the common projects, where you can find your place too.
