Dear Friend and Supporter of the Alliance For Just Money,

At the Alliance For Just Money (AFJM) we work together to build an inclusive, well-informed, and active national monetary reform movement. We are rooted in local communities, active at the federal level, and work in partnership with a steadily growing number of international organizations recognizing monetary reform's importance. Our goal is to understand the need for and the means to return the sovereignty of money creation to the government in the public interest. We strive to educate our elected representatives and the public so one day we can achieve the legislative transformation we all need.

This last calendar year, we have grown our membership and our subscribers by approximately one-third.

Just us working on a volunteer basis we have in this last year:

  • Proposed a Congressional Commission of Inquiry on the Monetary System.
  • Established communication with Congressional members about monetary legislation like the Boost Act.
  • Promoted monetary possibilities to 17 city mayors who are interested in universal basic income .
  • Published an anthology on monetary papers and articles in Spanish: Democratizar el Dinero.

We have gotten this and more work done because most of us are in our 60s and 70s and are retired. We now have an opportunity to hire Govert Schuller for six months to help lead AFJM before he picks up his studies again. Govert has been a volunteer who created the website bibliography, has been the editor-at-large for the website and the AFJM newsletter. Also, Govert has been a regular host with the AFJM Coffee Houses, where he has produced the study-stacks for further research, and was involved in the Spanish anthology.

With Govert being our first paid staff member for the next six months, we will work:

  • on amplifying our message on social media;
  • to support our members to be strong monetary thinkers and leaders so they, in turn, can affect people in their network;
  • create new reading materials for our website to further public awareness and to connect with our international sister organizations now representing 28 countries; and
  • continue our work to promote our proposal on a National Monetary Commission in Congress.

Increasing the AFJM membership means that more people can be involved in creating local chapters, educating fellow citizens through various social media, and ultimately having citizens vote for justly reforming our money system.

We want to gratefully acknowledge everyone who has made a financial contribution to this work. It has been everyone contributing as they are able that we have made strong progress in these last two years. The next step is to see if donors, old and new, can help us hire Govert Schuller for six months. With your help to hire Govert would mean a leap forward for the AFJM mission. Thank you!
