Dear Reader,

With our spring membership campaign kicking off today, I want to take a moment to tell you a little more about who we are and how we make this all work.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Bridge provides a public service first and foremost. Our team of reporters works tirelessly to help readers better understand the issues that truly matter to Michigan. Topics we cover include our state’s taxes, education, economy, environmental issues, and politics.

But beyond providing a service to readers, we’d like to think we’re in the business of building relationships. By relying on donations from individuals to cover the costs of journalism, our newsroom is constantly reminded of who it ultimately serves: YOU, the reader. In turn, readers who donate are making a difference in what they know and what their community knows.

Pretty powerful stuff. Will you join the growing community of Bridge readers who invest in Michigan-focused, nonprofit journalism?

I'll set up a monthly donation today!
Many thanks,
