  • New COVID-19 Restrictions: Well, as of this morning at 8am there are new restrictions in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. The significant reduction in gathering limits and the strong encouragement to stay home means that we are back to celebrating Mass online for a while-- these restrictions are scheduled for the next four weeks but as we know from experience, things can change quickly! So let's tune in together online on Sunday for our 9am Mass and pray together for an end to this pandemic and for all those who are suffering in these challenging times. New restrictions also mean the parish office is closed (meetings move online, staff will work from home with access to email and voicemail). Check this page on our website for COVID-19 news and updates as they become available.

  • Retreat for Priests Postponed: The priests of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth were scheduled to go away on retreat next week and with the new restrictions in place, that can't happen, so they have postponed the retreat until the first week of June, in hopes that by then it can take place. As a result, we will have Mass online (followed by Adoration until 10:30am) on Wednesday and Friday at 9am next week (and throughout the month of May). Please take this opportunity to pray for all the priests of this diocese!

  • Celebrating Sacraments: It's that time of year when some of the younger members of our parish often celebrate sacraments such as First Holy Communion and Confirmation.  A few of these events were scheduled to take place within the next four weeks. Our Faith Formation Coordinator, Alex Craven has been in touch with all of these families and is making adjustments as needed. Please pray for these families as they make their final preparations for these sacraments and adapt to the changes to the plans made.

  • Companions of the Cross: The Companions of the Cross are inviting you to join their online Monday evening teaching series called Journey Through the Acts of the Apostles. For more information, and links to sign up, please click here. The Companions of the Cross Halifax Foundation had scheduled to celebrate a special Mass for their Foundation Day on May 7th. As Masses can only be celebrated online at the moment, all are invited to tune into our 9am Mass on Friday, May 7th when the Companions will offer this special Mass together.
