  • New Parishes, Stronger Together: The work on writing the report to be submitted to Archbishop Dunn on the proposal for a way forward for our parish continues. Thank you for your ongoing patience with this entire process. Work to update the 'frequently asked questions' section on the proposal web page is also ongoing and we hope the next First 5 will include a link to an updated page on the proposal. One of the most important elements of all of this is prayer. Thanks to all who continue to pray for this entire process and all involved. Along with individual prayer, the opportunity to pray as a community is a gift, and starting this weekend, the first Sunday of Lent, we're going to begin praying a new prayer together for our parish. We will put the words of the prayer on the screen and be invited to pray it together. If you'd like to see the prayer and perhaps pray it yourself at home, it's been added to the top of the Proposal page on our website.

Men of the parish, if you haven't yet chosen something to do this Lent, it's not too late to sign up to participate in an exciting new 8-week video series called Into the Breach. Beginning this Sunday, (February 21st) weekly sessions take place over Zoom from 7-8pm. Signup can happen right up until the session begins on Sunday night! Each night will include prayer, a short video and open sharing on the topic presented. Please register in advance for each session by clicking this link (pick the date from the drop down menu, enter the information requested and 'submit'). After registering for each week, you will receive a confirmation email containing details about joining each session. For more information please contact Edmond (902-865-5529).

  • Lenten Preaching Series: This Lent Sunday homilies will all be part of a series called, The Arc of the Covenant. The heart of the series will be about how we cultivate a deeper relationship with God. In a series, homilies will build on each other, and share common themes. Did you know that each week we break out our homilies into their own YouTube videos? They can be accessed on our YouTube channel here. Additionally, Archbishop Dunn has shared a message for the faithful of our Archdiocese for Lent that can be found here
Please forward this email to anyone who may not yet be a subscriber and encourage them to visit our website and sign up to receive First 5 in their inbox every two weeks.
