  • Ash Wednesday: Wednesday, February 17th is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent. We will celebrate 3 Masses that day, and while it will be done differently, there will be distribution of Ashes. With pandemic restrictions, gathering numbers are limited, so we will livestream our first Mass of the day (9am), and advance registration for in-person Masses at 9am, 4:30pm and 7pm is required. Similar to weekend Masses, attempts will be made to accommodate preferences for Mass times. Patience and understanding are greatly appreciated with the processes in place to keep in-person attendees safe and healthy. To register to attend one of our in-person Masses on Ash Wednesday, please click here

  • New Program for Men: The Knights of Columbus invite all men to participate in an exciting new 8-week video series called Into the Breach. Weekly sessions take place over Zoom on Sunday evenings, from 7-8pm beginning on February 21st. The time together will include prayer, the short video and open sharing on the topic. Each episode focuses on a different aspect of authentic Catholic masculinity and features interviews with well know Catholic commentators. Please register in advance for each session by clicking this link (pick the date from the drop down menu, enter the information requested and 'submit'). After registering for each week, you will receive a confirmation email containing details about joining each session. For more information please contact Edmond (902-865-5529).

  • 2020 Tax Receipts: Tax receipts for donations made to the parish in 2020 have been prepared. Anyone confirmed to attend Mass in-person this weekend will receive their tax receipt when they attend Mass. If not attending Mass in-person this weekend, receipts can be picked up at the parish office any morning next week (February 8-12). A special note to anyone who made a 2020 donation to the parish via Canada Helps (on our website): when donations are made to the parish through Canada Helps, a tax receipt is issued right away via email. So please check your email for any donations made that way. If you have any questions about your receipt, please contact the parish office. Thanks to all who contributed to the mission and vision of Holy Trinity Parish in 2020, and beyond.

  • New Parishes, Stronger Together: Parish leadership, staff, and several key ministry leaders continue work on collating all the data gathered at the feedback sessions held on the New Parishes, Stronger Together proposal during the last two months of 2020. We are very grateful to all who took the time to participate in feedback sessions! Work on the report to be submitted to the Archbishop is underway. Please pray in a particular way for Fr. Bryan as he will be taking time away next week to assess the data and begin writing sections of the report.

  • Training & Onboarding for Volunteers: Tomorrow (Saturday) morning we will hold a one-hour refresher/training session (over Zoom) for all who serve administering the pandemic safety protocols at in-person Masses and funerals. If you are serving at in-person Masses or funerals, please check your email inbox for your invitation to this session. If you aren't currently serving in this way, but are interested in getting involved, please let us know so you can receive the information being shared tomorrow and be onboarded to one of our teams. Huge thanks to all who volunteer to serve the parish in this way-- in-person Masses would not be possible without your 'yes'!
Please forward this email to anyone who may not yet be a subscriber and encourage them to visit our website and sign up to receive First 5 in their inbox every two weeks.
