Welcome to this BONUS Lenten First Five! Today marks the beginning of Lent 2022. See below for Holy Trinity Parish’s plans to partake in this year’s Lenten Journey

March 2, 2022

Ash Wednesday: Thank you to all who made our Ash Wednesday mass possible! It was a blessing to begin our Lenten journey together.  If you haven’t had a chance to partake in an Ash Wednesday Mass feel free to go back and watch our live-stream from this morning

Rosary: For the duration of Lent the rosary will be recited before weekday Masses Tuesdays- Fridays at 8:30am in the chapel.

Stations of the Cross: Every Friday during Lent we will be praying the stations of the cross at 7pm in person.

Parish Mission:  We will be partnering with St Benedict Parish as a satellite location for their Lenten Parish Mission March 20-22 at 7pm in person at Holy Trinity Parish. Mary Maher & Eleanor Seagraves and members of Regnum Christi who work for the Archdiocese of Chicago will be joining us via live video. We will be exploring a deep dive into prayer as a place of revealing our identity as children of God. It will be great to gather again in person to sing and pray together!

Reconciliation: We encourage you to come to the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent- here is the examination of conscience. Weekend reconciliation times are every Saturday from 3:30-4:15pm. Weekday reconciliation times are Thursday and Friday, 8:30-8:50am. Special Lenten reconciliation times are April 2, from 10-11:30am and April 7 from 7-8:30pm.

Palm Sunday: will be celebrated April 9 at 4:30pm and April 10 at 9am (live-streamed) and 11:15am

Chrism Mass: The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at St Mary's Cathedral Basilica on April 12, 2022. Details to follow.

Triduum: The Paschal Triduum, or Easter Triduum, is the period of three days that begins with the liturgy on the evening of Maundy Thursday April 14 and reaches its high point in the Easter Vigil on April 16, 2022. Stay tuned for Mass times!
