Video Bible Camp is on NOW!: The game is afoot! Join our team of sleuths and spies and learn that, with God, no mission is impossible! Together we'll delve into some of the great mysteries of the scriptures in this year's Video Bible Camp with games, crafts, activities, and of course, scripture stories! Our video camp is geared towards youth ages 6-11, and is full of at-home activities and demonstrations for the whole family! Videos are going live on our YouTube channel (here) every day this week at 12 noon! While the best experience for youth and parents is to join us each day, the videos are pre-recorded and won't be going anywhere once they've uploaded, so you can participate at a time that is convenient for you! Here's Monday's video; Tuesday's video and today's video. Please see this list for any supplies for each day's activities and feel free to contact Alex Craven at email@example.com if you have any questions!
Name Tag Sunday: It's Name Tag Sunday this weekend! There will be a table in the foyer with name tag stickers and markers on hand, please take a few minutes to fill one out on your way into Mass. Our hope is that by making the attempt to learn the first names of some others, we might be more inclined to make connections with those around us-- we will try not to be 'anonymous' Christians. "...I have called you by name, you are mine." - Isaiah 43:1. Thanks for participating!
Archdiocesan Feast Day - August 15th: The Feast of the Assumption of Mary is the day that we celebrate the patron of our diocese, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Join Archbishop Brian Dunn to celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. Gather with the faithful from across the diocese at 12:00pm Mass (please note the earlier time!). A reception will follow in the courtyard. All are welcome!
Companions of the Cross Community Days in August: Fr. Bryan and Fr. Yves will be attending the annual community days for the Companions of the Cross at the end of August. So please note that we will not have weekday Masses August 30th through September 2nd.
First 5 in the Fall: Starting in September, First 5 will be going out every week, so check your email inboxes each Wednesday for news and updates. Thanks so much for subscribing and reading!
Past issues of First 5 are available here.
