  • Reopening Plan: At the COVID-19 update on February 9, 2022, Dr. Strang and Premier Tim Houston introduced the “Three Phase” approach to lifting restrictions. Beginning Monday, February 14, 2022, Phase One will begin and take effect for about one month. Regular faith services are open to 50% of the venue’s capacity with social distancing and masks. At Holy Trinity every second pew will still be blocked off and we will be utilizing the six-foot blue ribbons to help maintain distance between bubbles. Proof of vaccination is not required for weekday and weekend services. Congregational singing is permitted with masks so we can sing together once again! We’re looking forward to worshiping with you in our church pews!

  • Synod Process: The archdiocese has launched the next phase of our synod process! Until the end of February, Archbishop Dunn has opened a short, open-ended, anonymous online survey for those who do not attend Mass or consider themselves involved with our Church. We hope this will start a conversation and help us know how to better reach out to those outside our walls. Please take some time to share this survey with people you know who are not part of our Church. They can be fallen away Catholics or people with no experience in the Catholic Church. A personal invitation from someone they know will be our best promotional tool for this initiative. Here is the link to share: www.halifaxyarmouth.org/survey

  • St Elizabeth Seton SAWC Update: We are excited to let everyone know that the Sackville area warming centre (SAWC) is now officially open at the Saint Elizabeth Seton site.  Beacon House will be governing all activities of the SAWC from this point forward. This is an exciting win for our community.  To learn more or to become a volunteer please see the SAWC’s Facebook page.

  • Alpha Starts Feb 17th: Over the past few weeks we have been sharing about how our last Alpha transformed people's lives. To watch some of our previous Alpha testimonies click here. To register or invite people visit this page on our website.

  • Growth Groups: Come to our Growth Group information session on February 16th, 2022. Discover what a Growth Group is, why we want them to exist and how you can be part of making this happen in our community! To learn more and register visit this page on our website.

  • Care and Companionship Continues Virtual Ministry: Unfortunately visiting and bringing Communion to those unable to attend Mass is still on hold. We are able to do individual meetings at the nursing homes we serve, (Ivy Meadows and Sagewood Manor) through Zoom. We are grateful for that contact.  Some ministers continue to call their receivers, and we plan to write letters to them as well. We ask that everyone think of someone in our parish who is homebound, give them a call or send a note to let them know you care and that Jesus loves them.
Please forward this email to anyone who may not yet be a subscriber and encourage them to visit our website and sign up to receive First 5 in their inbox every two weeks.
