Starting now through Giving Tuesday (November 30th) your donation will be matched up to $40,000!
There are so many ways to give back but few things as impactful as keeping a family in their home. Food and shelter are basic human needs and our recipients consider our rental assistance grants a true lifeline. Qualifying criteria include: residents don’t have a chronic late pay history, haven’t violated their lease, and must complete an online financial program provided by RRF. Our applicants are often experiencing the misfortune of an unexpected health emergency or job loss and are struggling to get back on stable ground.

Please consider taking advantage of this year’s donation matching program. As always every little bit makes a difference!  Remember, 100% of your donation goes directly to the recipient!
Success Story
Veteran’s Day was last week– RRF honors all who have fought for our country.

Steven had experienced the loss of his mother and undergone multiple surgeries all over a period of several months in 2017. His VA benefits covered his monthly rent and utilities, but unfortunately, those same benefits were high enough to prevent him from qualifying for other forms of assistance. He just needed a helping hand during an unexpected financial emergency.

On May 3rd, 2018 (just days before his 63rd birthday), he got the news that he qualified for a rental assistance grant from RRF and was not going to lose his home or have an eviction on his record and be homeless. We’re thrilled to report that more than 3 years later, Steven is still living in his apartment and paying his rent on time.

We salute Steven for his service to our country and couldn’t be more proud to have been able to help him in his time of need. Hear his story, and those of others we’ve been able to serve and protect from the threat of eviction.

Why helping people pay rent can fight the pandemic

Families that can’t afford rent may find themselves pushed into crowded living quarters– a predicament that has increased the viral spread of COVID-19. Rental assistance programs provide aid that allows residents to settle debts, pay rent and utilities and prevent greater health risks. Read about one such family in Houston, a plumber in Maryland and more.
