As part of the synodal process, every parish in the Eparchy is participating in a survey called the Disciple Maker Index from Catholic Leadership Institute. CLI has been administering this survey for years in hundreds of parishes across the country, to help catholic leaders bring their parishes closer to Christ. The normal cost of the survey, the reports, the comparative data and consultation with CLI is $2500 per parish. A grant has been made to the Eparchy, so the survey and related services are provided at no cost to our parish.
The survey is available now, and can be accessed on line at https://portal.catholicleaders.org/d/yg02cy If you prefer a paper copy, you may pick one up in the back of the church after Sunday Divine Liturgies. You may also contact the parish office to make arrangements to get a paper copy. The final day to complete the survey is April 4th. The results are completely confidential. No one will have access to individual results, only to the collective data for the parish as a whole. We urge every adult in the parish to complete the survey.
The purpose of the survey is to make our parish responsive to its members’ spiritual needs. The questions ask you to reflect on your faith, on the state of your personal spiritual growth, and on your parish community. The Pastoral Council of Holy Resurrection has recently drafted a three-year plan for spiritual growth. The insights you provide in the survey will help to improve and expand that plan, so that we may become better disciples and truly live our Christian faith.
Please be thoughtful and candid as you answer the survey questions, and please do fill one out. The percentage of participation in the survey is critical: a high percentage indicates a parish that is alive and cares. We are not expected to be perfect, only to desire to improve.
