Greetings from the Northern Lights Arts Council!
This month’s edition of NLAC News is focused on the Roxy Theater! Many of you know, but some of you might not, that NLAC purchased the Roxy Theater in 1997 and own it still today. Thanks to many volunteers and generous donations, the theater was restored and reopened. Over the past 25 years it has hosted many movies, musicals, and other events, and we plan to serve the community for years to come!
Roxy Theater Fundraiser
Join us at the Langdon Eagles Club for Burger Night on Friday, January 6. Come and eat between 5-8pm. We will also be selling baked goods and tickets for a 50/50 raffle. Thank you to the Langdon Eagles Club for their sponsorship of this event! Proceeds from burger night, raffle tickets, and the bake sale will go towards the Roxy Theater. We had to do major roof repairs and the next project we’re looking towards is fixing the marquee.
Giving Hearts Day
We will be participating in Giving Hearts Day for the first time! Save the date for Thursday, February 9. Funds raised will go towards the Roxy Theater, specifically to the roof repair project and the marquee restoration. Donations of $10 or more on Giving Hearts Day will be matched, doubling your impact. If you’re looking for a way to support our organization, benefit our main street and community, and have your money go further, Giving Hearts Day is the perfect time to donate! Our donation page on the Giving Hearts Day website will be live later in January, and we will share more information on how to participate in Giving Hearts Day at that time. You can also view the Giving Hearts Day tab on our website. To participate in Giving Hearts Day, we need match funds. If you or your business is interested in becoming a match funds donor, please contact me at 701-305-0089. Match funds need to be reported by January 23.

NLAC Celebrates 30 Years!
NLAC was founded in 1993, which means we turn 30 this year! We are going to celebrate with a 30-day countdown to Giving Hearts Day. Follow our Facebook Page as we will be posting trivia, fun facts, and thanking those that have impacted NLAC in the last 30 years.
