Welcome to November's newsletter

Colourful autumn...
we dig out our favourite cosy coats and boots and go for walks
 ...🍂
There are many health benefits of a good walk :

👉 Improve your mood
Walking can help your mental health. Studies show it can help reduce anxiety and depression, lower stress levels, and improve mood. It can also boost self-esteem reducing symptoms of social withdrawal.

👉 Calm joint pain
Walking can help protect the joints, including your knees and hips because it helps lubricate and strengthen the muscles that support the joints. If you can, walk barefoot on grass for 5 to 10 mins: it reduces inflammation, improving blood flow which decreases  pain and muscle tension.

👉 Help lower your blood sugar levels
When you do moderate exercise, like walking, your heart beats a little faster and you breathe a little harder. Your muscles then use more glucose (the sugar in your bloodstream). Over time, this can lower your blood sugar levels. It also makes the insulin in your body work better.

👉 Strengthen your heart
Walking at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week can reduce your risk for coronary heart disease by about 19%. And your risk may reduce even more when you increase the duration or distance you walk per day.

👉 Boost your energy
Going for a walk when you’re tired may even be a more effective energy boost than grabbing a cup of coffee. Walking increases oxygen flow throughout the body.

These are only 5 of many healthy benefits to walking, so if you are able, wrap up warm, get out there, breathe, and give yourself a good boost!

Any pumpkin seeds left from Halloween ?

Don’t toss them! They are a source of zinc!

Wash and dry them.  Roast them in the oven with some salt, olive or avocado oil.

Do you know the benefits of Zinc?
After iron, it’s the second-most-abundant trace mineral in the human body. Zinc is “essential” because we must obtain it from the foods we eat or supplements as our body can’t make its own.

Zinc benefits the body in many ways: it's anti-inflammatory, It helps us recover from colds, fight chronic fatigue,  and aids in hormone production, immunity and normal digestion.

To enhance Zinc's benefits, we can grab essential oils like Lavender, Roman and German chamomile, Immortelle, Clove, Ginger, Black Pepper ... to fight inflammation and pain naturally & effectively.

However, some ailments may turn into chronic pain &  inflammation.

Don't miss out on this cutting-edge info about targeting inflammation...

Work - Life Balance

At a time and place in history where we can achieve anything, we have come to believe we must do everything.

On some level, we recognise that being so busy is not good for us. We talk about it constantly and we acknowledge the need to find balance in our lives. Therefore, we tend to view reaching a good work-life balance as hitting a goal.
Researchers are now encouraging us to stop thinking about work-life balance as an achievement that we either hit or miss. Instead, they suggest it may be more of a lifelong process – a continuous, never-ending exercise that requires vigilance, self-awareness and timely tweaks.
