The Northland's favorite dive bar hosts the official Panic Fest opening night afterparty tonight starting at 11:45PM, just down the street from Screenland Armour.
Socialize with fellow movie buffs and talk about all the new releases, special screenings, local filmmakers and podcasts coming up all weekend long into next week-- and every mind-blowing moment from the opening night slate of films.
Helen's late night kitchen serves up specialty pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and the Northland's best hot wings!
Please drink responsibly and don't forget your Lyfts and Ubers at the end of the night!
A new kind of tournament that will test every beer holding & Pickleball skill you possess! Standard rules with one exception: Paddle in one hand, Beer in the other! Gender doesn’t matter for teams, 2 people per team. $40 per team, and the first beer is on us!
Competitive: 1-3pm (People who have played in any competitive league or tournament)
Social Tournament: 3-5pm (beginners & intermediate)

Horror, sci-fi, and thriller film fans gather once again for Panic Fest, the annual film and live event festival running from January 24-30 at Screenland Armour in North Kansas City. More than 60 films will be screened at the theater including blocks of short film showcases. Moviemaker Magazine recognized Panic Fest as a 25 Bloody Best Genre Fests of 2020. Looking at the diverse range of films on the slate, it’s easy to see why. Here’s a peek at a few of the many films lined up.
Color Out of Space, based on a tale by author H.P. Lovecraft, stars Nicholas Cage in a town that is struck by a meteorite and the fallout is catastrophic.
The Roomrevolves around Matt and Kate, who buy an isolated house. While moving, they discover a strange room that grants them an unlimited number of material wishes. But, since Kate has had two miscarriages, what they miss the most is a child.
Eat, Brains, Love is a laugh-out-loud funny, surprisingly romantic, zombie road trip movie filled with heart – and brains.
A Good Woman is Hard to Find tells the story of a recently widowed young mother will go to any lengths to protect her children as she seeks the truth behind her husband’s murder.
Panic Fest also features live events and podcasts. Attendees may purchase a Live Event Badge that offers all-access to live events, including podcasts and movies with special guests.
Generation Why, Crimelines, and GangLand Wire Podcast co-host a live podcast focused on unsolved murders, controversies, mysteries, conspiracies, and true crime.
