Panic Fest Returns With Films to Thrill and Delight

By Pete Dulin on Jan 24, 2020 11:00 am

Horror, sci-fi, and thriller film fans gather once again for Panic Fest, the annual film and live event festival running from January 24-30 at Screenland Armour in North Kansas City. More than 60 films will be screened at the theater including blocks of short film showcases. Moviemaker Magazine recognized Panic Fest as a 25 Bloody Best Genre Fests of 2020. Looking at the diverse range of films on the slate, it’s easy to see why. Here’s a peek at a few of the many films lined up.

Color Out of Space, based on a tale by author H.P. Lovecraft, stars Nicholas Cage in a town that is struck by a meteorite and the fallout is catastrophic.

The Room revolves around Matt and Kate, who buy an isolated house. While moving, they discover a strange room that grants them an unlimited number of material wishes. But, since Kate has had two miscarriages, what they miss the most is a child.

Eat, Brains, Love is a laugh-out-loud funny, surprisingly romantic, zombie road trip movie filled with heart – and brains.

A Good Woman is Hard to Find tells the story of a recently widowed young mother will go to any lengths to protect her children as she seeks the truth behind her husband’s murder.

Panic Fest also features live events and podcasts. Attendees may purchase a Live Event Badge that offers all-access to live events, including podcasts and movies with special guests.

Generation Why, Crimelines, and GangLand Wire Podcast co-host a live podcast focused on unsolved murders, controversies, mysteries, conspiracies, and true crime.

Fangoria presents The Movie Crypt Live with a special 10th anniversary screening of Frozen. Celebrated genre filmmakers Adam Green and Joe Lynch host this filmmaking podcast described as “audio film school” by both aspiring and working artists alike.… Click here to read the rest of the story on >>> “Panic Fest Returns With Films to Thrill and Delight”
