Care Beyond the Boulevard needs winter gloves so let's get to work y'all!

Join Kind Food for a Biscuits + Gravy brunch this Saturday (yum!). Bring a donation of new or gently used winter gloves and receive 10% off your order! We'll also have the regular menu and other brunch faves available.

Please note we have new Saturday hours for February (11a-5p).

Can't make it to brunch but want to donate? You can make a glove or monetary donation directly to Care Beyond the Boulevard or drop off your gloves with us and we'll make sure they get to the team.

Polly Alice's New Thing Studio Open House

Drop by DesignWerx arts co-working space at 14th & Atlantic on NKC's industrial West side for a special Saturday open house featuring local artist Polly Alice McCann's recent work.

See what she's working on for the upcoming "Who Does She Think She Is" show next month at InterUrban ArtHouse in downtown OP.

You can also talk to Polly about her work publishing local poetry and stories and her Young Writers Creativity Workshop program through the Mid-Continent Public Library.

DesignWerx is home to a dozen local artists sharing one roof, and helping promote each other's work. 2nd Saturday open houses go on almost every month, but be sure to check Polly's Facebook page for select hours.

Bikes with a little lovin', looking for some more!

Velo Garage and Tap House is hosting another Indoor Swap & Shop event at their bike shop and bar at 14th & Swift in NKC.

It's winter but we can still do bike stuff, even if it's not riding them. Clear out your parts bins, bring the bike you haven't ridden since you've found your favorite bike, and clear out your bike apparel and accessory stock that just keeps piling up. Always a fun time!

Vendors are encouraged to bring their own tables and bike stands for the event!

All-Day 2SAT Extravaganza at FM Music Vintage Sounds

From 11 til 3PM tomorrow, FM Music becomes FM Tiki Huna record shop, welcoming Iron District's house bar and tropical drink experts Tiki Huna into the shop to show off their menu of beverage creations!

Faron also welcomes Jon Stubblefield and Justin Penny to the shop for a live set of songs from the duet during the tiki party and into the afternoon.

From 5-7PM, Jud Kite of Killer Kite Productions will be in the shop to showcase his studio's work in live music promotional posters up on the gallery wall.

Browse FM's collection of retro vinyl, 45s, CDs, cassettes, band swag, new releases, t-shirts, posters and accessories.

Customer (and High School Movie) Appreciation

Screenland Armour's customer appreciation weekend continues this Saturday with a double feature of high school movies that are angsty in two different ways!

At noon, the Brat Pack classic "The Breakfast Club" returns to the big screen with your favorite brain, athlete, basket case, princess and criminal.

There's plenty of time to bounce about town, see some art, and hear some live music with a late lunch or early dinner if you're looking to stick around for special showing #2:

At 9PM the cult classic Donnie Darko re-introduces you to The Philosophy of Time Travel and Frank the monsterous bunny man.
